Radishes
Radishes are a fast-growing, easy crop. Seeds can be sown directly outdoors from March to August. These are best done in small batches every few weeks to ensure a continuous harvest. Radishes grow best in full sun to partial shade and prefer light with well drained soil. They are ideal for small spaces, containers, and filling gaps between slower growing vegetables.
Radishes can be harvested just 3–6 weeks after sowing from April to October. Plants should be thinned to 2–5 cm apart and watered regularly to maintain consistent moisture, which helps prevent cracking and bitterness.
